Australian Return Policy
We ask that you choose carefully as we are unable to offer refunds for change of mind purchases. However, if an item has been incorrectly supplied, we are happy to exchange it provided the product is unopened, undamaged, and in its original condition.
Why we have this policy
We take great care in sourcing and curating only the finest perfumes, ensuring that every product we offer maintains its integrity. Once a product has been returned, we can no longer guarantee its freshness. We believe our customers deserve the best, which is why we strive to ensure every bottle is new and unopened, free from the risk of having been previously handled.
Additionally, perfumes shipped from overseas, particularly from regions such as Europe or the USA, undergo long journeys. The extended travel time and the Australian climate can potentially affect the fragrance’s quality, making us cautious about restocking or reselling returned items.
Return Shipping Costs
Please note that the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost if the item needs to be exchanged or returned due to incorrect supply or product fault. All shipping fees are non-refundable. Kindly note that online purchases cannot be returned to our boutique, and vice versa. All returns for online orders must be processed through us directly, so please contact us [here].
Returning Incorrectly Supplied Goods
If you need to return a product that was incorrectly supplied, please follow these steps:
- Contact us within a reasonable time frame to request a return or exchange, providing your original receipt or proof of purchase. Please be advised that we can only process returns from the original customer who placed the order. If the order is not under your name and email, we will require written authorization from the original purchaser.
- Pack and seal the item(s) in the original packaging to ensure it is protected during the return process. All returned products must be in their original, unopened condition with the fragrance bottle and packaging, including the security seal, intact and untampered.
- Once we receive the returned items and confirm they meet our return conditions, we will promptly dispatch the correct product.
Returning Faulty Goods
In the unfortunate event that your product is faulty, we are here to assist you. Please follow these steps to return faulty items:
- Contact us promptly with your original receipt or proof of purchase to request a return or refund. We only process returns for the original purchaser. If the order was made under a different name or email address, we will require written authorization.
- Pack and seal the item(s) carefully in their original packaging. All returned products must be in their original, unopened condition with the security seal intact.
- Once we receive the faulty goods and confirm the fault, we will issue a refund for the full price of the product (excluding any shipping fees), using your original payment method. Refunds may take up to 7 days from the date we receive the item.
Faulty Product Return Guidelines
- Faulty products must be reported to us within 2 business days of receipt and returned within 7 business days.
- Please ensure returned products are securely packaged to prevent any damage during transit. We cannot accept responsibility for damage due to improper packaging when returning items.
Incorrect Address or Uncollected Parcels
If your parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failure to collect it from the post office within the allowed timeframe, you will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping the item. Australia Post will hold parcels for 10 business days before returning them to us.
International Return Policy
Unfortunately, we do not offer a return policy for internationally shipped goods. We kindly ask that you take extra care when placing international orders, as refunds and exchanges are not available.
Once an order has been dispatched to the carrier, DoTM is not responsible for any damage, loss, or issues that may arise during transit. We also do not assume responsibility for customs duties, taxes, or clearance delays. We recommend checking with your local customs office to ensure your order complies with local regulations before purchasing.
Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask that you choose your purchases carefully, as we do not offer refunds for change of mind. If you wish to cancel your order after it has been placed, please note that an administration fee of $15 will apply.
- For Shipping Items: A store credit will be issued, minus the $15 administration fee. No refunds are available once an item is marked as shipped, or once you have received a tracking number, even if the parcel has not yet been collected by the carrier.
- For International Orders: Cancellations are not accepted for international orders due to the complexity and administrative work involved. We encourage you to double-check your order before completing your purchase.
